With 25 years Professionally as a Player & Coach in the game of soccer, Simon is a Third generation Professional player and has completed a Tertiary Education Degree. He has Directed & Managed Day & Resident clinics/camps and Created Directed & Managed Youth European Team Tours for youth players, for boys and girls, with Clubs, National Associations, Federations, worldwide. Over the course of his career, he has acquired a wealth of knowledge and continues to develop contacts through work experience on four continents. He has worked as a Pro Coach in England, Czech Republic,  Dubai, Indonesia, Hungary, Australia, Brunei, as well as Twenty (20) states here in the U.S.  

World Soccer was founded in 1992. The U.S. activities were established after several years experience working across the country with the Vogelsinger Soccer Academies and Wiel Coerver Coaching Schools. Simon was a personal assistant to Wiel Coerver in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) at the Al Wasl Club and an assistant to Mr Coerver at several of his U.S. camps, helping to establish the Coerver Method in the United States in the late 80’s. And in 1988, was also responsible for the introduction, promotion and establishment of Wiel Coerver’s ‘Method’ in Australia and New Zealand. He and his brother were the first coaches to bring the renowned skills training method to both Australia and New Zealand, invited by State and National Associations in both countries.  

 WS was established for several reasons, though essentially because of the obvious need and desire by players, for ‘Pro’ soccer coaches & trainers with real teaching talent and an eclectic teaching philosophy. We thought we could have an immediate impact upon the local coaching scene and satisfy the needs of a large pool of potentially talented, instruction craving, dynamic youth soccer players. 

Years later, World Soccer has developed a ‘Coaching Network’ of top class Professional Youth Coaches and we continue to have an impact on the Northern California soccer community by setting high standards of teaching and mentoring the young developing coaches for the next generation of players.  

Many players in our training programs have been helped to new levels in the game. Through our skills and tactical training methods, they have had the opportunity to further their respective soccer careers by going on to Nationally ranked Soccer Colleges in the U.S. Some have made it all the way to the top, winning FIFA World Cup medals!
